Thermal Imaging (Mechanical & Electrical)
Thermal imaging is an extremely powerful method of proactively monitoring and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical and structural systems which may have problems that remain undetected using standard visual inspection and diagnostic techniques.
Quite simply, problems that cannot be seen with the naked eye are clearly visible using thermal imaging. Infra-red cameras are used to detect abnormal increases in equipment temperature, due to poor connections and damaged components.
Historically thermography was predominantly used on electrical equipment but more recently it has been applied to mechanical components providing an extremely useful tool for identifying problematic areas.
