Working in partnership with our clients, our team of engineers are tasked with offering a high value quality product / service, which adds real value and purpose to their business.
Allan originally set up DMS in October 2003.
Allan is currently the Managing Director who is responsible for all aspects of the business, overseeing everything from site work to health & safety training. Allan is a time served HNC application engineer with a wealth of experience in power transmission engineering, especially, in gearboxes and associated equipment.
Allan is a sport fanatic, and loves nothing more than watch his beloved Manchester City FC. He also has a Phd in ROCK music (heavy, progressive, etc), and can be seen at many gigs throughout the year drinking beer!
Lisa has been with the company for just over 3 years. She runs the office operation on a daily basis. Her responsibilities cover everything from answering the phones, to credit control, invoicing, banking, training facilitating, health & safety support, the company accounts using Sage and site service engineers operational support requirements.
Lisa studied her degree in Environmental Geography at Wolverhampton University and on completion of her degree, she has worked for ALcontrol Laboratories in Rotherham as well as Bestobell Valves. She left Bestobell Valves to manage the newly built AMP Technology Centre, in Rotherham, where DMS are based today!
She left her position at the AMP, to have her son Gethin in 2009. She is a fitness fanatic and spends most of her time running around after her hyper active son (I wonder where he gets that from?) and spending time with her husband.
Rebecca lives in Rotherham and joined DMS 2 years ago after gaining many years experience with Capita. She is based permanently in the AMP Technology Centre office and her role is to support Lisa in all things admin related. Rebecca is very versatile and can turn her hand to various financial, sales and marketing tasks.
Rumour has it that she is an ‘expenses guru’. Woe betide any of the engineers who don’t get their details in on time!!
Rebecca is a Mum of two lovely children – one of each! Once she has finished running around after them she is extremely partial to settling down with Netflix and a glass of rum.
Internal Sales Engineer
Rachel is the newest recruit of Drive Management Services and joins the office team based at the AMP Technology Centre. She gained her degree in Design & Manufacturing at Sheffield Hallam University in 2000 whilst also working as an Engineering student for Stanley Tools Ltd. After University she then worked as a Development Engineer for Otter Controls, a bi-metal thermostat manufacturer. After becoming a Mum, she then opted for a part time role within the facilities management team at the AMP (where she met Lisa!) concentrating on selling conference and meeting room space.
After 12 years, Rachel couldn’t resist the temptation back into the Engineering field and is now thoroughly enjoying learning the ropes at DMS. She is looking forward to getting stuck in to plenty of sales, engineering and marketing tasks.
Rachel lives in Sheffield with her husband and two boys. She spends many an evening out running and enjoys a half marathon once a year!
She also likes a rhubarb and ginger gin & tonic (but not too many!)
Senior Site Services Engineer
Stephen, lives in Hull and is a time served engineer, who served his apprenticeship at SM Cyclo UK Ltd., the UK division of Sumitomo Cyclo Europe, manufacturing and assembling gear reducers and geared motors. On completion of his apprenticeship he progressed into the office to become a technical support engineer whilst undertaking his ONC / HNC qualifications.
On setting up DMS, we employed Stephen in 2006 to become our first Site Service Engineer. He has since completed his BINDT VA1 & VA2 qualifications as well as completing his Ultrasound Level 1 (controlled by UE Systems) & IT thermal Imaging training.
When Steve is not working he is following Hull City FC all over the country! Prior to him growing up, he was also a fanatical England FC supporter, following them all over the world. Obviously this has now been curtailed since he got married in sept. 2013!
Matt began his career as a time served apprentice engineer and spent many years gaining experience in the automotive industry. He worked for Drive Management Services briefly in its early days before rejoining the Company in 2015.
Matt now works mainly on site designing and developing fixed monitoring systems for customers. He relishes the endless task of keeping up with rapid advancements in technology and says it keeps him on his toes!
Matt lives in Dronfield and is a passionate Sheffield United season ticket holder. Up The Blades!!
In between football matches (and working for DMS) Matt can be found striking a few balls at Hallowes Golf Course.
Site Services Engineer
Ashley began his career with DMS as a day-release Engineering apprentice in 2015 and is the baby of the team! On passing his apprenticeship, he is now expanding his portfolio by studying for his HNC whilst working alongside Matt. Together they tour the country installing fixed condition monitoring systems.
Ashley is a self confessed petrol head and likes nothing more than tinkering with cars in his spare time. He also enjoys driving them (not fast – honest!) which is just as well being as Allan sends him to lots of interesting places to work.
Site Services Engineer
Graham is the newest member of the Site Services Engineering team. He joins DMS after a long period living and working in Spain where he ran a horse stable yard with his family. Graham now concentrates on site work in the West Yorkshire area where he enjoys never being too far from a motorway!!
Graham is a Grand-Dad and lives in Upton, West Yorkshire. He fancies himself as a pop quiz master and claims to have been to more rock concerts than Allan. Allan is yet to counter-claim on this accusation.
Kevin spent all of his working career at David Brown Gear Industries in Huddersfield, Sumitomo Drive Technologies in Hull and finally at DMS. Kevin was involved in the original set up of the business along with Allan in October 2003. Kevin is renowned globally for his expertise in gear drives and power transmission engineering.
Since the inception of DMS, Kevin has been responsible for all technical aspects of the site and office work, using his vast application engineering and rotational equipment knowledge to support all our customers in the analysis of the CBM data taken.
Kevin is now fast approaching his retirement (that’s if Allan allows him to!), where he intends to play more golf, spend time with his grandson and hopefully keep out of his wife’s way!!
