Engineering Reliability Specialists

The Team

Working in partnership with our clients, our team of engineers are tasked with offering a high value quality product / service, which adds real value and purpose to their business.

Lisa Sinclair

Office Manager

Lisa has been with the company for just over 3 years. She runs the office operation on a daily basis. Her responsibilities cover everything from answering the phones, to credit control, invoicing, banking, training facilitating, health & safety support, the company accounts using Sage and site service engineers operational support requirements.

Lisa studied her degree in Environmental Geography at Wolverhampton University and on completion of her degree, she has worked for ALcontrol Laboratories in Rotherham as well as Bestobell Valves. She left Bestobell Valves to manage the newly built AMP Technology Centre, in Rotherham, where DMS are based today!

She left her position at the AMP, to have her son Gethin in 2009. She is a fitness fanatic and spends most of her time running around after her hyper active son (I wonder where he gets that from?) and spending time with her husband.

Stephen Anthony

Senior Site Services Engineer

Stephen, lives in Hull and is a time served engineer, who served his apprenticeship at SM Cyclo UK Ltd., the UK division of Sumitomo Cyclo Europe, manufacturing and assembling gear reducers and geared motors. On completion of his apprenticeship he progressed into the office to become a technical support engineer whilst undertaking his ONC / HNC qualifications.

On setting up DMS, we employed Stephen in 2006 to become our first Site Service Engineer. He has since completed his BINDT VA1 & VA2 qualifications as well as completing his Ultrasound Level 1 (controlled by UE Systems) & IT thermal Imaging training.

When Steve is not working he is following Hull City FC all over the country! Prior to him growing up, he was also a fanatical England FC supporter, following them all over the world. Obviously this has now been curtailed since he got married in sept. 2013!

Dr. Robert Brown

Technical Manager

Dr. Robert Brown is the Technical Manager, working closely with both Allan and Kevin. Dr. Brown, started his working career at British Steel Corporation, learning the core skills required of an Industrial Instrumentation/ Electronic Engineer. Later on in his life, he studied Electronic Systems and Control Engineering, followed by a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering at Sheffield Hallam University.

He has published and presented technical papers nationally and internationally. Roberts responsibilities within DMS are to work on special projects and also to oversee all fixed condition based monitoring systems, understanding what the client requires and then ensuring that this can be delivered in a timescale that is acceptable to all parties.

In his own time Robert, spends a lot of his time playing the Tuba in various local brass bands, competing all over the UK. He is also responsible for organising the annual Whiston Brass Band festival.

Kevin Micklethwaite

Engineering Director

Kevin spent all of his working career at David Brown Gear Industries in Huddersfield, Sumitomo Drive Technologies in Hull and finally at DMS. Kevin was involved in the original set up of the business along with Allan in October 2003. Kevin is renowned globally for his expertise in gear drives and power transmission engineering.

Since the inception of DMS, Kevin has been responsible for all technical aspects of the site and office work, using his vast application engineering and rotational equipment knowledge to support all our customers in the analysis of the CBM data taken.

Kevin is now fast approaching his retirement (that’s if Allan allows him to!), where he intends to play more golf, spend time with his grandson and hopefully keep out of his wife’s way!!

Allan Findlow

Managing Director

Allan originally set up DMS in October 2003.

Allan is currently the Managing Director who is responsible for all aspects of the business, overseeing everything from site work to health & safety training. Allan is a time served HNC application engineer with a wealth of experience in power transmission engineering, especially, in gearboxes and associated equipment.

Allan is a sport fanatic, and loves nothing more than watch his beloved Manchester City FC. He also has a Phd in ROCK music (heavy, progressive, etc), and can be seen at many gigs throughout the year drinking beer!
